Schools and offices will be closed for all students and staff on Wed., Feb. 19 because of the threat of inclement weather.
Wilson County Schools provides students with the opportunity to seek reassignment to a school based on criteria established by the Board of Education. The reassignment request window is now open, and the deadline to complete the reassignment application online is June 1, 2025. Click the title to read more.
The online registration period for the 2025-2026 school year will open on March 1, and we want to invite families to Kindergarten Registration Day on March 6 between 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the school where your student will attend kindergarten. During that time, incoming kindergartners will complete a mandatory assessment and families will have a chance to complete the registration process and have questions answered.
The NC Pre-Kindergarten Program is accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Wilson County Board of Education meets Mon., Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Central Office for its regular monthly meeting.
It's time to begin the selection process for the 2025-2026 Wilson County Schools Principal of the Year. The Principal of the Year will be selected this spring, and the winner will be announced at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. Anyone in the community can make a nomination.
Students in grades 3-12 will take the Panorama Survey beginning the week of Feb. 24. Families have the option to opt-out your student from taking the survey by completing an online form prior to Feb. 14.
